Trains & Turkey Day!

It has always been a Thanksgiving tradition to go and see the Santa Train each year. I have went since I was probably 10 years old. It was always a very exciting and special time for us when we were little. We took Koen for his first Santa Train experience this year. We did not go last year because it was so cold and Koen was so little.

    

Koen liked watching the train but he wasn’t so sure about all the other people around. Overall it was a good experience  and  I was very pleased with Koen’s first experience. This year they got off the train and handed out bags full of toys to everyone – it was very nice!

   

 

Each year there is always a celebrity that rides the Santa Train and helps throw out all the goodies. This year Wynona Judd rode the train. She got to stand beside Santa and throw snacks and stuffed animals out to all the crowd.  

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Koen was a little sick for Thanksgiving and he has now passed that onto me. On Thanksgiving morning he was trying to take his own temperature. Look how cute he is in his “Who Are You Calling a Turkey” Pajamas!

Koen really enjoyed Aunt Carolyn’s Ice Cream Cone Cake! He looks like such a big boy with his new haircut. Yes I cute his hair and yes it was a very hard job and yes Tim had to occupy him and let him spray water in a bowl the entire time….haha.
His Thanksgiving shirt says “Gobble Til You Wobble”.

                                         

                                         

Koen had a good time wrestling with Raina on Thanksgiving. Poor Raina had her tonsils taken out a few days before and all Koen wanted to do was wrestle her around on the floor. It was so cute and so sweet!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. We have so much to be thankful for and we are truly blessed. I am thankful for my wonderful husband, my sweet little man Koen and our growing Sprout. I am thankful for my awesome parents and my parents-in-law. I am thankful for all of my wonderful family and friends. We love all of you!

Vacations & Parties!

I know it has been several weeks since I have posted a new blog. It is hard to find the time with Koen running around!
 I have some catching up to do with this one though!

A couple of weeks ago we spent the weekend at the Breaks Interstate Park with Tim’s family for his mom and dad’s anniversary.
They built some new cabins around the lake and they are absolutely gorgeous! 

It was a beautiful weekend so we took Koen to the playground and he had a blast on the slides and the swings.

For our anniversary, Tim and I took Koen to Gatlinburg for the weekend. After we got through Koen’s round of being car sick – we had a wonderful time! We took him to the Rainforest Adventures Discovery Zoo in Pigeon Forge.
He got to feed the goats (which meant for the most part he threw the food and hit them in their faces…haha).

The rest of the time we did some shopping and eating!

                                       

We gave Ray & Nicole a baby shower over the weekend for little peanut. They got lots of good stuff and everyone had a good time.
Carolyn made their cake and it was amazing.
She did a wonderful job and should go into business! It tasted good too!

I went to the doctor last week and got to see another ultrasound of Sprout. He/She was doing some flips and punching and kicking like crazy. We might get to find out the gender around Christmas!

Halloween Fun!

I hope everyone had a Happy Halloween! We had a very fun time. We went to the pumpkin patch earlier in the month and let Koen pick out his pumpkins. He had fun watching the tractor ride across the fields.

Tim carved a pumpkin earlier in the week. He free-handed this Lightning McQueen pattern and it turned out awesome. Koen loves his vroom-vroom pumpkin! He didn’t like the carving process so much though. He wasn’t happy about the sticky pumpkin guts on his hands…haha

         

Here is our little golfer on Halloween. He was so cute in his costume. He did so good wearing it too!

Surprises!

Introducing Sprout!

He/She is scheduled to enter this world around May 24, 2010. We are so very excited that baby #2 is on the way!

In other exciting news – Tim bought a new truck on Friday! A 2010 Nissan Frontier!
Here is a picture of Tim and his salesman Marcell from Tri-City Nissan (he was hilarious)!

We said goodbye to the Jeep and hello to the Nissan! It was bittersweet for Tim but he loves his new truck!

        

Birthday Wishes!

Happy Birthday to my wonderful father-n-law!  Jim’s birthday was on Thursday.
We celebrated with him on Friday evening.

We love you Papaw Jim! Koen and Kaleigh had to help him blow out the candles….haha!

Koen found a new favorite seat…..toilet paper!
He likes to wear Mamaw Sandy’s glasses at church too……haha!

Family Fun!

Koen is growing up so fast! He is repeating everything you say to him now! He loves helping mommy with the laundry….haha.  We also have a new pet owl – Hooty that lives in the holler.

Koen loves his new little cousin Kaleigh!

Happy Birthday to my awesome mother-n-law Lori! Her birthday was on Friday and we had a party for her on Friday evening at our house. Here she is with her cake and then with her growing family!
We love her very much!

Mom, Sherin and Mamaw was part of the singing at the Jettie Baker Center on Sunday. The Clinchco Gospel Singers did a wonderful job and we are so proud of them! Tim played the bass for them. Koen had a wonderful time! He loves to Praise the Lord with his mamaws! He is all Pentecostal! haha

          

Introducing Kaleigh Raine Lynch!

Kaleigh Raine Lynch arrived on Thursday, September 10, 2009 at 2:57 p.m. at Holston Valley Hospital in Kingsport. She weighed 7 lbs 6.6 ozs and was 20 inches long.  She is absolutely beautiful!

Heather and Derek did a wonderful job and everyone is doing great!

Future Aunt!

Well both of my sister-in-laws are pregnant at the same time! Congratulations to Ray & Nicole who are expecting a little bundle of joy in February. I am so excited to become an Aunt! Here is a pic of little Peanut Austin:

Summer Fun!

Koen got his first tattoo a few weeks ago! It was of cookie monster and he really liked it!
He loves to shoot his guns. He makes a pretty good cowboy – haha! He was shooting daddy in this pic and saying pow!

             

We took Koen to Toys R Us for a special birthday celebration from them. They gave him a balloon and a crown. Then they announced his birthday over the loudspeaker and gave him a $5 gift card.
He likes riding his four-wheeler that we got him for his birthday party.

          

We had a yard sale in Clinchco on Friday. We did pretty good and had fun. After that we went to a pool party

Koen went to his first fair on Wednesday for Kid’s night. It was rainy and cold but he enjoyed Old McDonald’s Farm. He liked to watch the rides with the lights after dark. Here is Ko reminding everyone to wear their life jackets!

       

Cousins & More Cousins!

It won’t be long now until Koen will get to see his new cousin. We can’t wait to meet Baby Girl Lynch.

Speaking of cousins…..Koen got to meet three of his cousins from Florida over the weekend.
My Aunt Carolyn’s son Jim, his wife Tena, and their three boys, Jimi, Chayce & Colby came in for a visit.

                

Koen saw the Ice Cream Truck for the first time also. You should have seen all the kids (and adults!)
yelling and screaming toflag down the Ice Cream Truck in the middle of Clinchco on Friday….haha!
I just love the sound of his truck coming down the road. It just makes you smile!
Koen had fun blowing bubbles with Mamaw Sandy and Aunt Sheriny too!
